About Us

Wondering where Greenscore came from? Learn more about our team here!

Jake Whittall is co-founder of Venture Up, a tech recruitment company. He has a bachelor’s degree in modern history from University of Oxford, and now lives in London.

Jake came up with the idea for Greenscore while trying to figure out how he could play his part in combatting climate change. As a non-scientist, he was completely overwhelmed by the sustainability information out there, and wanted to make green choices easier for everyone (while also learning lots on the way!).

When not acting as Greenscore co-host, Jake loves hiking, playing with his dog, and enjoying a beer at his local pub.

Taylor Uekert is a researcher at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, where she studies the environmental impacts of new recycling strategies and renewable technologies. She has a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Cambridge, and now lives in Golden, Colorado.

Taylor joined Greenscore as co-host because she firmly believes that science is crucial for addressing climate change, and wanted to help translate that science into something that everyone can understand and use.

In her spare time, Taylor loves baking, hiking, dancing, and writing fantasy novels.

Gina Errico is a graduate student at Oklahoma State University in the Plant, Biology, Ecology and Evolution Department. She is a community forest ecologist, with a passion for conservation, community engagement, and all things plant-related.

Gina joined Greenscore as the social media manager because she loves using outreach and communication tools to share science with the world.
